Skye's VBT Surgery @ Simmerath, Germany - March 12th 2018

Her story prior to surgery is here.

OHBS Surgery - Day 6 (Sat)

We both had an awesome sleep - YAY - feeling much better today to take on the world, and watch out world we are coming - well as soon as we get out of here :-).

Skye's lung has gotten worse so we have to do lots of physiotherapy with deep breathing, blowing bubbles and walking today to help it re-inflate on its own.

But she's good - she's back on devices, that's how everyone on the outside will know that she is doing OK :-)

Hopefully after physio today we may go for a walk outside the hospital, perhaps to the little garden they have here on hospital grounds.

The nursing staff have been unbelievable for our stay here, they touch your hearts with their sincerity and love. They go beyond the realms of their duties just to make sure that you have everything, absolutely everything that will keep you as comfortable as possible.

6pm - We didn't make the walk to the garden as Skye was too tired, but she is great, she's brighter, and in less pain. Fingers crossed if we keep up with the physio that we will able to move off the ward in a few days :-).
