ASC Surgery - Day 4
Good morning, I was wrong, Skye slept through the night, only waking to be checked by the nurses at about 2am.
She's doing well this morning, has got out of the hospital gown and had a freshen up, we had a quiet day, walking the ward and generally resting.
But this afternoon we went down for her first standing X-ray. Her curves on surgery day were Thoracic (top) 100 degrees whilst her Lumbar (bottom) were nearly 80. The curves (on the right) as they stand today will continue to straighten as she grows as the tether will pull her straight. They leave a little slack in there so that she doesn't over correct.
Every day she is getting better, and stronger, being able to get out of bed and walk unassisted. The bathroom status is all sorted, after some assistance (if you know what I mean :-)), and now it is just resting, taking medication when needed and generally getting better.
Milestones : Number 2's :-), walking 100m, getting out of bed without aid, own clothes and fresh.
