OHBS Surgery - Day 3 (Weds)
Skye is on in Acute Observation on Ward 24B at Starship Hospital.
She had a truly rough night, it's heartbreaking to see your child going through this, but she is so strong and brave. We received a beautiful card today with the words:
"You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life"
She just loved this when I read it to her :-).
This morning they are slowly taking all the lines out, so by this evening she will have none left, which will make her really happy :-), and hopefully then she'll be able to sleep.
6pm - My girly is a lot happier, she had her main line out today, and the rest of the other bits and pieces including her morphine pump and oxygen.
The drugs were making her so nauseous that the surgeon took her off everything except panadol and abuprofen - I must admit I was hesitant with this decision, and I didnt know how she would deal with the pain.
We had a very unexpected guest today - thank you so much for coming and for spending your precious time with us :-)
She is doing much much better :-) Yay !
