Oh, the questions that are coming up for our pre-operation consultation - thought I'd jot them down in case I forget. If anyone has any others I need to ask could you please let me know :-).
How long do you expect the surgery to take ?
What vertebrae will you tether ?
Will you do anything in relation to her rib hump ?
Will she have a 'chest tube', what does this mean ?
How many incisions will you make in her side ?
How will you 'close' the incisions ?
What pain meds do you put her on after surgery ?
How long will Skye be in hospital ?
Will she be in Intensive Care due to the lung deflation ?
Will there be any disc releasing, if so what does this mean ?
Do you anticipate any post operation complications ? Anything to watch out for ?
When do you estimate she can go back to school ?
Is it a good idea to have a wheelie bag instead of a back pack for a few months ?
When can she start playing soccer again ?
Can she in the future scuba dive ?
When do you next want to see Skye in person ?
How do I get from Auckland to Wellington after surgery, can Skye fly straight away ?
